EDUCATION & TRAINING

-PhD Structured Programme from Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) (Incomplete).

In 2013, I was awarded a scholarship and commenced a PhD programme as a member of The Knowledge and Data Engineering Group (KDEG). Within the area of Technology Enhanced-Learning (TEL), I specialized in Mobile Learning and gained insights into context awareness, lifelong, informal and social learning. I also followed the Marie Curie Initial Training programme sponsored by the European Union through the EDUWORKS project during its Summer School in 2014 and Winter School in 2015.

-Masters in management, evaluation and quality of educational institutions, University of Seville, Spain.

During my Master’s degree course, I followed a research programme in which I gained experience in research methods, data collection and analysis techniques. My strong professional interest in Technology Enhanced Learning encouraged me to work and submit my final project on “Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge” (TPACK) (Distinction).

-Masters in e-learning, University of Seville, Spain.

During this time, I gained knowledge in the design of Instructional Design phases (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation), teaching strategies for e-Learning, tutoring and guidance, collaborative learning and evaluation and quality in e-Learning. Additionally, I improved my knowledge of adult learning.

-BA in Educational Science and Pedagogy, University of Seville, Spain.

During my undergraduate years, I acquired knowledge of learning and teaching methods for children (all ages) and adult education, and ‘best practice’ teaching strategies. Additionally, this undergraduate course allowed me to gain experience in educational psychology and special education which has given me a better understanding into how individuals behave, how children and adults learn, and what motivates the learner.  This course also helped me to develop my educational policy-making, leadership, curriculum development, and lesson planning skills.
